Is It Hard To Get A Job As A Personal Trainer?
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Getting in shape takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Equally, the professionals that provide fitness and health expertise must also work diligently to make sure their clients have the support and training they need.
If you are interested in becoming a personal trainer, you might wonder, is it hard to get a job as a personal trainer?
Is It Hard To Get A Job As A Personal Trainer?
Getting a job as a personal trainer is not difficult, however, there are some hurdles that you will need to overcome in order to qualify for the job. The good news is that if you are passionate about this line of work, these requirements won’t seem so daunting:
Physical Fitness
If you have an interest in becoming a personal trainer, you are likely already a fit individual. You’ll need to maintain this as you’ll be required to demonstrate and perform many exercises alongside your clients.
Also, people look to their personal trainer as a role model, so it may be difficult to find work if you are out of shape yourself.
Training &Â Qualifications
Personal trainers are required to go through rigorous training before becoming certified to teach fitness classes or train individuals in a group or private setting. The two main courses are Certificate III and Certificate IV in Fitness. Both of these courses are available through a list of approved RTOs (Registered Training Organisations). Most people can finish these certifications in three to six months (for each course). Since you will be given up to 12 months to complete each certification, the total duration could be up to two years. This will all depend on the motivation and dedication of the individual.
You may also need other training such as nutrition, first aid, and CPR depending on the specific type of personal trainer you want to become.
Financial Costs
Obtaining the proper certifications to become a personal trainer does come with a financial burden which may be difficult for some people. Certificate III can cost approximately $900 and Certificate IV can cost $1,500. However, both of these can cost several thousand dollars each depending on the organisation providing the training, so be sure to shop around.
In addition to training, you may need to purchase clothing and equipment needed to provide services, especially if you are operating your own personal training business.
Finding Work
While personal trainers are in demand, many gyms have part-time positions. Some trainers may need to work part-time for two or more companies to obtain a full-time salary. The only challenge there is being able to balance the various schedules.
You can also consider starting your own personal training business. This usually comes with higher pay, but you’ll need to work diligently to find your own clients and take all of the risks of operating your own business.
