5 Tips To Stay Awake & Focused at Work
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Do you often find yourself daydreaming at work? Perhaps you have lost your drive? Or maybe things are a bit hectic at home, and you find it hard to concentrate and even stay awake?
Staying productive when you’re lacking sleep and motivation can be challenging.
The issue is that being tired and sleepy in the office can affect the quality of your work and even jeopardise your job.
That’s why, in this blog, we’ve highlighted five tips to help you make it through the day when you feel really tired.
Get Up From Your Desk
Sitting on a chair all day long typing behind a screen can make your eyes tired and make you feel even more tired than you already do! That’s why you need to take regular breaks. It will allow you to stretch your body, get your blood flowing, shake things up a bit and break the monotony of the day.
When working on menial or repetitive tasks, try to take a short break every 30 minutes and get a drink of water or walk around or chat with a colleague for a few minutes to add a bit of variety to your day.
Keep Your Day Busy
If you don't have much to do at work, staying awake and focused will be much harder.
So, as soon as you start work, write down your to-do list and your daily goals and make sure your day is busy enough. And if you work for a company and don't have much on at the moment, ask colleagues or even your boss how you can help them.
The busier you can keep your mind, the less sleepy you’ll feel.
Hydrate
When you’re low on fluids, your body might feel weaker and more tired than usual. Exactly the opposite of what we want when we’re already tired!
That’s why keeping hydrated throughout the day is crucial to boost your energy levels and keep you awake and focused. While there is nothing wrong with starting the day with tea or coffee, too much of it can actually be counterproductive and dehydrate you. So, stick to water for most of the day and ensure you’re drinking loads of it! It might not seem like much, but believe us, it’ll make a big difference.
Limit Your Sugar Intake
You might think that eating sugary foods will give you an energy boost. And you’re right. But it will only do so for a short period.
That’s because sugar has a sedative effect on the body. So, eating sugary foods will cause a strong blood sugar spike and a spurt of high energy over a short period. However, this will be followed by long-lasting sedative after effect, causing a significant drop in your energy levels and leaving you tired and sleepy for the rest of the day.
Listen to Upbeat Music
If you’re already feeling tired, doing your job in silence will make efforts to stay awake and focused much harder.
So, put your headphones on and play some upbeat and energising songs. This will be sure to boost your energy levels, keep your brain active and focused while you’re working on a project that requires all of your attention. Â
Here’s a list of pump-up songs to help you stay motivated at work.
